Are you ready to apply your defence expertise to cutting-edge simulation projects? We are seeking a Modelling and Simulation Engineer, but we’re also open to candidates with defence domain knowledge and experience in operational research, testing and evaluation, or training. You’ll be a key player in a dynamic delivery team, advancing key defence initiatives with hands-on involvement in various technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement synthetic environments to simulate real-world defence scenarios (terrain, weather, threat simulations).
- Evaluate and refine existing simulation tools and methodologies to ensure they meet operational needs.
- Deliver expert insights on data integration and interoperability for advanced simulation systems.
- Support the development of standards and protocols to improve simulation data consistency.
- Play an active role in defence training and operational exercises utilising synthetic environments.
Additional Areas of Experience We Consider:
- Defence Domain Knowledge: An understanding of military structures, operations, and challenges.
- Operational Research: Experience in analysing and solving complex problems within the defence context.
- Testing and Evaluation: Knowledge of testing frameworks for defence systems and technology.
- Training Experience: Familiarity with military or defence-related training systems and methodologies.
What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate Customer Needs: Work with stakeholders to identify key requirements and design solutions that align with operational goals.
- Provide Technical Expertise: Define data formats, standards, and technical solutions to enhance interoperability across defence systems.
- Portal and System Design: Collaborate on building user interfaces and data access portals to improve the user experience for M&S users.
- Knowledge Sharing: Leverage your defence or operational research experience to shape solutions and contribute to a knowledge-sharing environment.
About You:
- You have domain expertise in defence, operational research, testing and evaluation, or training systems.
- You are comfortable working hands-on within an Agile team to deliver practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- You have active SC Clearance and are ready to engage in a high-impact project.
