Job Title: CCTV/Security Service Engineer
Location: Bristol/Gloucester/Cirencester
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Security Field Service Engineer to join our client’s team. In this position, you will deliver exceptional engineering expertise and customer service while performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of security solutions, including CCTV, Intruder Alarms, and Access Control Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on a wide range of PC/Network-based and analogue security systems.
- Manage CCTV systems, from small setups to large multi-site installations, ensuring optimal operation of PC-Based Digital Recorders.
- Troubleshoot fibre optic transmission systems, LAN/WAN networks, and radio telemetry systems.
- Respond to emergencies outside of standard hours as required by the department.
- Collaborate with various teams to exceed customer expectations.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Engage in continuous personal development, including performance reviews and development plans.
- Keep your technical knowledge current through training and professional development.
- Join an on-call rota (1 in 6).
Qualifications and Competencies:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electronic Security or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, and Intruder Systems.
- Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems and digital electronics.
- Understanding of Health and Safety standards.
- Good working knowledge of TCP/IP and network fundamentals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service and strong time management skills are essential. Candidates must also be eligible to obtain SC clearance for this role.
Package:
- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
- Overtime available
- 40-hour workweek (08:00 to 16:30)
