Network Engineer – UK Central Government (Defence)

🔹 Role: Network Engineer
🔹 Contract Length: Until 31st March 2024
🔹 Location: Hereford (full-time onsite with potential UK-wide travel)
🔹 Pay Rate: £550 per day
🔹 IR35 Status: Inside IR35
🔹

Key Requirements:

• 📜 CCNP Enterprise certification (essential)
• 💼 3+ years’ experience supporting complex campus area (CAN) and wide area (WAN) networks (essential)
• 📊 Experience with IP cryptography, Linux OS, and network logging/analysis tools (desirable)
• 🔍 Familiarity with Splunk or Elastic for network support, reporting, and alerting (desirable)

• Strong technical competency and experience supporting production networks
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of working within military structures
