In a significant move that underscores the company’s commitment to excellence, Concept is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jon Horrocks as Operating Director. With a track record of incredible accomplishments and a passion for driving growth, Jon’s new role is set to propel Concept to even greater heights.
After having successfully helped build a Sports Development business as a graduate, Horrocks joined a prestigious FTSE 200 Recruitment Agency, where he swiftly rose through the ranks by leading Procurement & Supply Chain teams across multiple offices in the Midlands & Milton Keynes. During his illustrious five-year tenure, his exceptional leadership led to three well-deserved promotions, ultimately establishing him as one of the top-performing Managers in the UK.
Horrocks’ journey with Concept commenced in early 2018 when he took charge of an Engineering team that was underperforming. Through strategic insights and dedicated efforts, he orchestrated an impressive turnaround within just 18 months. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in launching Concept’s Procurement and Supply Chain division, now known as Corporate Functions, which stands as one of the top-performing teams in the business. Despite the challenging landscape posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Jon’s visionary leadership continued to foster growth within the teams under his purview, particularly from 2021 onwards. Over time, his responsibilities expanded to include Sales and, more recently, our international team – a testament to his versatile skill set and ability to navigate new and complex business environments.
Looking ahead, Jon has set ambitious goals for his businesses. He aims to achieve £2 million in GP and £500,000 in profit across 18 team members this year. Not content with resting on his laurels, he envisions pushing these numbers even higher, targeting £3 million in GP and £750,000 in profit with an additional 10 team members by 2024.
