Tell us about your journey in recruitment so far.

I had over 40 years experience at my previous employer, 29 of which as a manager. Recruitment was always part of that management role

Why Concept?

For the last 4+ years of my career I had worked exclusively with Concept bringing new engineers into the business. Having been made redundant in Dec '24, this opportunity quickly became available and it was a no-brainer to join the team 'on the other side of the fence'. The Academy is great and getting the opportunity to see candidates accepted and then grow and flourish into a new career is very satisfying

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Family first and foremost with a 19 and 22 year old, as that will become a rarer thing as they spread their wings. Otherwise I'm into classic cars (owning a very original 1987 Peugeot 205 1.9 Gti), cooking, travel and I'm a big real ale fan

If you were a film character who would you be?

I don't watch many films so I asked the kids. The Grinch apparently....
