We have been in business for over 20 years and have grown through organic and acquisitions to currently c500 employees across the UK with a revenue number north of £100 million.  We are a Cloud and Managed Communication Services business that helps our customers transform their workspace so they can access securely business applications and data.  I am the Head of HR and oversee recruitment directly, with a small number of recruitment partners.  The last 12-18 months has driven our business sector to create different services and solutions for our clients whose demands have changed drastically and this has influenced the skills we need in our people to carry on supporting our customers to the highest level.


When I was recommended to Robert and Concept by a former colleague of mine, I was in the process of drastically reducing our recruitment PSL which had grown widely in the previous 18 months. I spoke to Robert at length to understand what services they could provide, explain what we need now and over the next 6-12 months have had an honest and frank exchange with him. Robert was able to share case studies of work successfully completed in our business sector and talk through specific challenges his business has helped other clients overcome. I felt very quickly that Robert’s consultative approach, honest and frank pragmatic style mirrored mine and agreed to provide his business with a small number of opportunities across different parts of our business. I tested Concept with roles including; technical sales, service desk, full-stack development and a contracts renewal manager.


These roles were successfully hired and our recruiting manager’s feedback on Concept and the Consultants they engaged with to deliver was first class, and the approach taken at the start of this key. For all roles, Robert suggested a Teams call was arranged to discuss the role and opportunities in detail to give them, as a new supplier, a better understanding of who we are and what we need and start to build that mutual trust early on. It became clear that Robert understood our business and the market sector we are in, and he and the team are well placed to find the solutions we desperately needed to keep pace in a fast-changing technology market post-Covid.


Following these earlier “tests” I am pleased to confirm we have hired 10 people in the 1st 6 months with Concept, and have agreed to work closely with Concept moving forwards. Our business leaders who need to hire for growth are having regular conversations with them to identify risks in their hiring road map and we hope the next 12 months of our relationship is even more beneficial.
